Privacy Policy
Last revised: 3 June 2026
This policy explains how Seamcraft Bespoke Sdn. Bhd. ("the Atelier", "we") handles personal information collected through netsmart.help and in the course of tailoring work. We process personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.
1. Information we collect
Through the website we collect only what you type into the appointment form: your name, email address, an optional phone number, the service you are interested in, and your message. In the atelier itself we additionally record body measurements, posture notes, cloth preferences and fitting history — the working data of tailoring — under your client file.
2. Why we collect it
Website data is used solely to answer your enquiry and arrange appointments. Client-file data is used to draft your patterns, complete commissions, and make repeat orders faster. We do not use your data for automated profiling, and we do not send marketing messages unless you have expressly asked to hear about cloth arrivals or seasonal openings.
3. Who can see it
Your data is seen only by atelier staff who need it to serve you. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We may disclose data where Malaysian law requires it, or to professional advisers under confidentiality obligations. Payment processing, where used, is handled by licensed Malaysian payment providers who receive only what a transaction requires.
4. Where it lives and how long
Enquiry emails are kept for up to twenty-four months, then deleted. Client files, including paper patterns, are retained while you remain a client and for seven years after your last commission, reflecting warranty and accounting obligations, after which they are destroyed securely.
5. Your rights under the PDPA
You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for corrections, withdraw consent to processing, or ask us to delete your client file entirely. Write to [email protected] or to our registered address, and we will respond within twenty-one days.
6. Security
Digital records are kept on access-controlled systems; paper patterns and fitting notes are stored in the atelier, which is locked and alarmed outside working hours. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we treat your measurements with the same discretion as your conversations in the fitting room.
7. Children
Measurements for clients under eighteen are taken only with a parent or guardian present, and the client file is opened in the guardian's name.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the revision date above will be updated and material changes will be flagged on this page for sixty days. Questions are always welcome at [email protected].
